1. To recognize the outstanding achievements of foreign nationals who have studied in Taiwan and to strengthen their ongoing connection and interaction with Taiwan, the Global Outstanding Alumni Award for Foreign Students in Taiwan (hereinafter referred to as “the Award”) was first established in 2018. According to the operational guidelines of the Award, it is held once every two years, and the 5th selection will take place in 2026.

2. Eligibility: Nominees must be foreign nationals who have studied in Taiwan and completed a degree program or a special training program approved by the Ministry of Education. Candidates should have demonstrated remarkable accomplishments or significant contributions in their respective fields, such as academia, business and industry, politics, culture, or media and communications.

3. Key points of the selection process:
(1) Number of awardees: In principle, 5 to 10 individuals will be selected for each round.
(2) Award details: Recipients will be invited to Taiwan to receive public recognition, share their experiences, and participate in official visits. Round-trip economy-class airfare and local expenses during the visit will be covered by the project budget. The 5th award ceremony is scheduled to be held in November 2026.
